A tape recorder, a projector and a blackboard
Teaching Procedures:
Step 1. Greeting and Lead-in
Greet the students as usual.
Show some pictures and figure out what happiness means to them. They are people with different professions.
Step 2. Reading strategy
1. Help students understand the meanings of interviewer and interviewee.
2. Question: What are the steps to read an interview?
Step 3. Fast reading
Read the whole passage quickly and answer three questions.
1. Who is the interviewer?
2. Who is the interviewee?
3. What questions does the interviewer ask in this passage?
Step 4. Careful reading
(1) Ask students to listen to the tape (Lines 1 to 9) and find out the happiness to different people.
(2) Ask students to read the passage from line 10 to line 35 and find out the background information of Sang Lan.
